[edit]... that Manjula Chellur is the 30th Chief Justice of Kerala and the first female judge of the Karnataka High Court?

- Please merge duplicate refs using named ref. Let me know, if you need help! --Tito Dutta (contact) 04:43, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
- I have fixed the refs following this help request. But, the article does not have 1500 characters and needs to be expanded a bit! --Tito Dutta (contact) 19:45, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
- copied from talk page Thanks for the review. I will expand it as early as possible. If possible, would you suggest exactly what I need to do, so that I can do the things perfectly I hope, as a newcomer of DYK I need your help.Mydreamsparrow (talk) 20:13, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
- You need to expand the article a bit. According to DYK criteria, article prose should contain 1500+ characters. Last time, I counted, it was 1300 something! --Tito Dutta (contact) 20:30, 15 March 2013 (UTC)

- Length. Esemono's expansions brought the character count up to 1552, which is still on the light side for DYK nominations. My copyediting and wikifying dropped it down to under 1500 again. Perhaps you could flesh out the article with personal/family information, and/or significant cases she judged?
- Close paraphrasing. There is a lot of close paraphrasing from the Kerala High Court website. You should not quote whole sentences verbatim, nor follow the sentence structure so closely.
- Hook ref is verified. I tweaked the hook. Yoninah (talk) 19:04, 28 March 2013 (UTC)

- Esemono, I have stricken your "DYK review again" icon because you have only added a comment to the nomination. There is no need for another reviewer because I am the reviewer. Next time, just add your comment and wait for the reviewer to respond.
- The article now stands at 1526 characters which, as I mentioned above, is rather light for a DYK nomination. The close paraphrasing issue has not been addressed at all. Yoninah (talk) 18:31, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
- After a big reworking the article now stands at 1872 characters. -- Esemono (talk) 06:10, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, you cannot expand an article by padding it with puffery and editorializing, especially as these phrases don't appear in the sources. I re-edited the article, also cleaning up the typos, and it now stands at 1399 characters. The close paraphrasing seems to be taken care of, but the page needs more sources and solid information to expand it. Yoninah (talk) 11:56, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- What about info about recent court actions? Article back up to 1827 characters and I have new ALT-- Esemono (talk) 13:32, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
- ALT1
... that in 2013 Kerala High Court judge Manjula Chellur refused an early hearing about a Marxist's politician request for another investigation into the "Ice Cream Parlour sabotage case"?
- Great! Now the article is over 1800 characters and has good detail and sourcing. Since the references were formatted very strangely and were difficult to work with, I reformatted them per WP:Citation templates. The ALT hook ref is verified, but I suggest wording it this way:
- ALT2: ... that in 2013 Kerala High Court judge Manjula Chellur (pictured) refused the plea of the Leader of the Opposition for an early hearing in another investigation of the "Ice Cream Parlour sabotage case"?
- ALT2 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 15:55, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
