María Jesús Alvarado Rivera

[edit]
  • ... that María Jesús Alvarado Rivera was cited by the National Council of Women of Peru in 1969 as the "first modern champion of women's rights in Peru"?

Created by Rosiestep (talk), Nvvchar (talk), Dr. Blofeld (talk). Nominated by Dr. Blofeld (talk) at 09:59, 29 April 2013 (UTC).

  • Two problems:
1: The article's line "before being exiled to Argentina for 12 years, till 1936" is a bit close to the Google translation of a line the second citation: "into exile in Argentina, where he remained for twelve years until 1936." This can be remedied by moving the fact that she returned in 1936 from the mention of her exile to the mention of her return. Also, the source for this is not "Peruvian Rebel", as shown in the article, but the translation of "A Staunch Feminist".
This has been addressed. Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 13:53, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
2: The only information about the source of the picture is a link to a blog that no longer exists. Unless the information on the origin of the picture is restored and found to be satistfactory, the picture cannot be used.

O.K., but not with the picture, whose source and copyright status are not evident. The picture, and reference to it, have been blanked out. Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 13:53, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
Ownership of the photo is indeed dubious, but it shouldn't affect the DYK going through if we don't use the picture in the hook itself, that's a wiki commons issue.
That's what I said. Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 16:11, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
If you're that concerned about it put it up for deletion in the commons.♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 15:11, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
Have done. Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 16:11, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
