Margaret Heng[edit]

Moved to mainspace by Bonkers The Clown (talk). Self nominated at 14:20, 5 June 2013 (UTC).

  • The way it stands now, i cant see much notability in this article. Is she just a CEO of one and Executive Director of another association? §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 12:48, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
A multinational 100 years old oil and gas company is different from a 30 year old association coaching in hospitality. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 20:14, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Excuse you, just because you don't know it's notability doesn't mean it's not notable. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 03:59, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
And that's why the article should establish notability, for stuffy-attitude and ignorant people like me. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 05:11, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
It is there already. You do not need to be some Michael Jackson to be considered notable. A full-page interview with the national newspaper of Singapore, high-ranking positions, and there you have it. Notability. ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 06:01, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
Full page interviews do not necessarily mean notability? Havnt you seen interviews of college students who make a bulb glow out of a small model windmill? Anyways.... after having left this nomination alone for so long and seeing no other editors comment on it, i suppose many of them do not actually have issues with the notability of the subject. But i have some comments on the article before its passed. To support my doubt about notability i notice that the article is Orphan as of now. You can add her name on may be the alumni list of all her schools and then that problem will be solved. Also, if i am not mistaken, her masters from GWU is in Human Resources Development. Not needed in the hook, but surely needed in the article. Rest all article is good. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 05:09, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
I just might start an article on Shatec to add to notability of subject. And tomorrow comes another Monday interview! ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 09:30, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Do whatever you please. But the article is still orphan as of now. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 10:40, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Are you s-uuuuuure? ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 11:16, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Why you want my surety for doing whatever pleases you? §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 11:24, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
I was actually referring to the part about the article being an orphan... Not so! ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 11:33, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Oh! You did link it to UWO. Didnt notice that. Was expecting that you would link to all four schools. Anyways... so technically its not orphan anymore. Green signal for that. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 11:40, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Thank you! ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 12:06, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
  • No for the proposed hook. If someone asked me if I knew that a Singaporean businesswoman has a Master's degree from the George Washington University, I'd probably say: "So what?" She is neither the first nor the last person to get it. In fact, there are more than 13,000 people with the same degree from the same university. Surtsicna (talk) 13:06, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Then how 'bout... ALT1: ... that Singaporean businesswoman Margaret Heng is the CEO of Shatec, a hospitality-training school where she was initially an administrator? ☯ Bonkers The Clown \(^_^)/ Nonsensical Babble ☯ 13:10, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
For what it's worth, I find it better than the original hook. Surtsicna (talk) 13:35, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
