Matt William Knowles

  • Reviewed: Caveira (Rainbow Six Siege)
  • Comment: This was a draft that was approved on August 29. I assume good faith on the Chinese reference.

Moved to mainspace by Theos1919 (talk). Nominated by SL93 (talk) at 02:40, 3 September 2019 (UTC).

  • Comment: There was a discussion that this might have been non-notable self-promotion (not proven), but the article was ultimately cleaned up with notability shown plus the draft was accepted with no issues. SL93 (talk) 02:48, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
  • @Theos1919 and SL93: I will review this. epicgenius (talk) 21:03, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

  • Adequate sourcing: Yes
  • Neutral: Yes
  • Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing: No - There are a few sentences copied from other sources.
  • Other problems: No - Some MOS issues to work out. For instance:
    • He stars as the mythical Demi-god, Rawa[8], - comma should be before the ref
    • It was here that Knowles learned to speak fluent Mandarin Chinese[4] - needs a period

Hook eligibility:

QPQ: Done.

Overall: epicgenius (talk) 21:03, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

  • @Epicgenius: I think that I fixed the issues. I'm fine with either of your alt hooks. SL93 (talk) 02:40, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
    • @SL93: This should be good to go now. ALT1 or ALT2 is approved. epicgenius (talk) 14:23, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
      • Someone else has to approve your alts. It's a dumb rule that makes DYK nominations last longer, but it is what it is. SL93 (talk) 17:30, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
Approve ALT2, that seems the most interesting. Less keen on ALT1, if only because it uses the slightly dated term "Caucasian". I did have a slight concern that "rotating mayor" might be confused for a mayor who spins around on the spot, but it's probably clear enough and matches the source usage.  — Amakuru (talk) 21:19, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
