Max Thurn[edit]

  • ... that Max Thurn, the founder and for decades the conductor of the NDR Chor, conducted a series of Bach cantatas, and prepared the choir for premieres by Schoenberg and Isang Yun? Source: several
  • Reviewed: The Wabe
  • Comment: That series of Bach cantatas was new at the time and went over a decade, but I find it hard to say that without loosing the other events, - the Schoenberg made music history, as one source says, but was mentioned before in two DYK already (two singers), and Yun was the most recent in 1964.

  • OK, this looks fine. New enough and long enough, and the hook and article are both reliably sourced. It's good to go. Prioryman (talk) 18:25, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
  • The article does not mention the Isang Yun performance as being a premier, so either hook or article need amendment. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:01, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
Will look later. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:02, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt: could you look now? Could we remove Isang Yun from the hook and promote it? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 20:34, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
I'd prefer to drop "premiere" as we had the Schoenberg already. How is this?
* ALT1: ... that Max Thurn, the founder of the NDR Chor in 1946, conducted a series of Bach cantatas and prepared the choir for a live recording of Isang Yun's Om mani padme hum in 1964? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:44, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
  • Sounds good. Hook refs verified and cited inline. Rest of review per Prioryman. ALT1 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 21:05, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
