Michael Spurr[edit]

  • ... that Michael Spurr, currently Chief Executive Officer of NOMS, originally joined the England and Wales prison service in 1983 to become a borstal house master?

Created/expanded by Miyagawa (talk). Self nom at 11:02, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

  • 3606 characters (new article), neutral, all statements cited; I don't see any signs of a copyvio. I don't really understand the hook; which prison service are you referring to, and what do you mean by "them" (who?) being "abolished"? Everything else checks out. • Thanks for the review, I've modified the original hook to specify which prison service and dropped the abolished part - I think the borstal part should be catchy enough. Miyagawa (talk) 15:16, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Close paraphrasing concerns. Example: "initially managing the prison population and a system for managing disruptive prisoners called the Control Review Committee. After the publication of the Learmont Report in 1995, he led a review of the management of disruptive prisoners which eventually formed the Close Supervision Centre system" vs "he took up a post managing prisoner population and the Control Review Committee, a system for managing disruptive prisoners, and in the wake of the Learmont Report in 1995...he led a review of the management of disruptive prisoners that resulted in the creation of the Close Supervision Centre system." Nikkimaria (talk) 15:21, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

I've cut it down to just "He then moved into HQ operations, managing the prison population and a system for managing disruptive prisoners." as I'm not it's possible to say all the rest without using those terms. Miyagawa (talk) 21:32, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
Forgot to tag it to indicate it's ready for a further review. Miyagawa (talk) 13:00, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
On second thoughts, closing my own nomination. It's not a good hook anyway. Miyagawa (talk) 13:12, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
