  • This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts seem to be borne out by the sources, the article is neutral, and I detected no close paraphrasing. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:52, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
  • The hook is confusing with its odd tense and wording: why "had won"; why not "short story collection"; indeed, why not word it so it's clear that "Odia" is a language rather than a place or something else? Suggesting the following instead (though it may need more work):
  • ALT1 includes the same facts as the original but is better expressed. It is apparent to me that the use of the definite and indefinite article is on the decline in India, and I hesitate to adjust hooks for grammar when they may be perfectly acceptable on the subcontinent.
