Thanks for the suggestions, SL93. The issue is that it is very unclear what the source means with respect to the White-faced Storm Petrel. I have learned from other sources that this bird has large world-wide distribution and that there are several recognized subspecies (none of which is called the "New Zealand White-faced Storm Petrel"). There is no way that this island hosts half of the world's breeding population, and it's unlikely to host half of the New Zealand breeding population. I've found another source -- one that I think was the basis for a lot of the information in the source previously cited -- and edited the article. I'd like for Maias to see the changes before we start proposing new hooks. --Orlady (talk) 04:06, 17 July 2013 (UTC)

Your new source appears to be an excellent one, though I cannot access it through the link given - maybe my problem. Yes, Otago in this case would refer to the peninsula; I have amended the link in the article. Maias (talk) 04:37, 17 July 2013 (UTC)

The university page specified that as its permalink. It is obviously incorrect. It worked for me yesterday, but not today. I've changed it to http://researcharchive.lincoln.ac.nz/dspace/handle/10182/715 .
