  • Comment: Requesting a special occasion hook for March 11, which is her birthday. It would also be nice if this could go up at the image slot since I don't think voice actors have been featured there before (at least not recently), and partly because free images of Japanese voice actors are hard to come by, so chances like these are rare. I do not have access to the source for ALT2, but it's mentioned in her Japanese Wikipedia article (where the information is cited inline to the same reference as the one given above), and sources I could find on Google seem to confirm it. As of starting this nomination, I'm not yet done expanding the article or sourcing the filmography, but I promise to get around doing it within the next few days.

Detailed article, on good sources, Japanese sources acceped AGF, no copyvio obvious. The image is fine, and double suitable on her birthday and in Women's month. I am not happy with the hooks, would rather like to know about her songs, but don't want to hold this up. Of the three, the original seems the most unusual. None of them speaks of her acting ;) - Article: do we really have to give so many names of agencies in the lead, one even mentioned twice? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:57, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but I also think none of the hooks are so hooky for a lead image slot. The tone deafness is interesting; perhaps that hook could be better phrased? Alternately, something about her voice acting? Yoninah (talk) 22:15, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
@Yoninah: It's fine with me if this doesn't go in the image slot, so feel free to do that. As for the tone deafness, what kind of wording do you suggest for that? I had a few in mind but I don't know how that would work. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 23:52, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
I consider the hooks to be sufficiently interesting, so I promoted the first hook, but I retracted the promotion following the article creator's request. I see no reason why this shouldn't be in the top slot. How about:
ALT2a: ... that Japanese voice actress Nao Tōyama (pictured) joined chorus clubs while in school to help her overcome tone deafness? feminist (talk) 13:38, 8 March 2019 (UTC)
  • ALT3: ... that Nao Tōyama (pictured), whose solo singles have been used as theme songs for anime series on television and in film, was tone-deaf as a girl? Yoninah (talk) 14:02, 8 March 2019 (UTC)

I guess ALT3 works as well. @Yoninah: Thoughts? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:05, 8 March 2019 (UTC)

  • I like it. ALT3 hook verified to one online source and AGF for offline Japanese language source. feminist (talk) 14:09, 8 March 2019 (UTC)
