National Coalition Against Legalized Gambling[edit]

Created by Amgisseman(BYU) (talk). Self-nominated at 20:00, 15 July 2016 (UTC).

  • The hook is cited to a RS and appears in that source. The hook correctly uses quotes removing issue of copyvio, which is neither present elsewhere in the article. Newness is fine (from a previously deleted article) with minimum length met / exceeded. All other criteria are met. This would not pass GA in its current form: (1) there is some concern about the quantity of primary sources used as reference, (2) there are not categories, (3)there is inconsistency between present and past-tense. However, it's okay for DYK. (as per ANI, this nomination requires two reviews) LavaBaron (talk) 20:45, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
  • @Amgisseman(BYU): New enough, long enough, QPQ present. Hook is cited and interesting (though I can't read all of the source). Again, the tense issue is a little confusing (does this organization still exist), and there's also a need for categorization, but that should not impede a DYK here. • The organization became part of the Stop Predatory Gambling Foundation in 2008. The founder of NCALG became a field agent for Stop Predatory Gambling when they merged/partnered (I wasn't able to find all the details on how that actually happened). So technically NCALG doesn't exist anymore. But I tried to add a little more information to the article to help that come across better. Thanks! Amgisseman(BYU) (talk) 18:46, 22 July 2016 (UTC)
  • That really does help. Raymie (tc) 19:45, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
