Near East earthquake of 1759[edit]

  • Looks good to me, with the exception of the phrase "nearly completely"—I'd use "almost completely" as this is one of those stock phrases, whereas "nearly completely" has a jarring effect to it like "none more black". GRAPPLE X 03:04, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
I see now how that comes off the tongue a little funny. Thanks for pointing that out. My aim was to stay clear of close paraphrasing of the source, which says "almost entirely destroyed", and I sacrificed a better word choice to do that. I've changed the hook to match your suggestion and I have provided an alternate hook just in case. Thanks, Dawnseeker2000 03:56, 5 June 2012 (UTC)
