Negatiw[edit]

Created by Horsegeek (talk). Self-nominated at 18:15, 23 February 2019 (UTC).

  • New enough. There's a couple of lengthy quotes in this short article, but still long enough without them. One sentence is a copy from the soure (the one about being taken to Tersk) and should really be reworded. Fair use image is properly provided with a rationale for use in this article. The hook looks ok, but there is no direct inline cite, the source isn't declared in the nom, and I'm not seeing the hook fact in the nearest ref. QPQ done. SpinningSpark 22:46, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
  • Sorry, I missed the ALT1 hook. I'm not seeing in the source a direct verification that Negatiw is a descendent of Skowronek. It does say Naseem is a descendent, but it does not then link on to Negatiw. SpinningSpark 23:06, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
  • I assumed it would be clear that Negatiw was a descendant of Skowronek as it is shown in his pedigree. Added in a sentence to clarify under the pedigree section, would this work? Horsegeek(talk) 01:34, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Horsegeek
  • It's an issue of sourcing, not of explanation. SpinningSpark 15:11, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
  • Added in his pedigree source that states Negatiw is a grandson of Skowronek. Apologizes if this still does not fix the issue, I'm still wrapping my mind around this. Horsegeek(talk) 16:29, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Horsegeek
  • That issue is fine now. There are still two other issues to address. For clarity I'll restate them below. SpinningSpark 18:18, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
  • The main hook fact needs a citation. This must be placed in the article directly after where the hook fact is stated (DYK rule 3).
  • The sentence beginning "His dam was one of the Polish mares..." needs restating so that it is not a close paraphrase of the source (DYK rule 4).

  • Thank you for the clarification! I believe I have fixed the problems now. Horsegeek(talk) 19:08, 22 March 2019 (UTC)Horsegeek
  • All issues raised have now been dealt with. Good to go with either hook. SpinningSpark 10:39, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
