Neponsit Beach Hospital[edit]

For the building and equipping of the hospital the Association for Improving the Condition of the Poor has a fund of $257,000, which was raised seven years ago after a country-wide campaign in which the picture of "Smiling Joe" strapped to a Bradford frame played a prominent part."
