Niamh McEvoy (St. Sylvester's Gaelic footballer), Niamh McEvoy (Parnells Gaelic footballer)

Created by Djln (talk). Self-nominated at 16:55, 26 September 2019 (UTC).

  • Comment Just a drive-by observation that the hook is well over the 200-character limit. Perhaps this would work?
Also, Djln, it's not clear if you are nominating both Niamh McEvoy articles? They are both new, and you have both in the header - if both are nominated, Niamh McEvoy (Parnells) should be bolded in the hook too. You seem to have only one DYK credit, so you don't need to review any other articles as QPQ. RebeccaGreen (talk) 08:18, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
I had similar questions when I formatted the nomination. I formatted it as a double nom (although the Parnells article would require further expansion), but accidentally forgot to bold the second one. I've done it now, but it can be unDYKed if it can't be sufficiently expanded. MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 00:31, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
  • Thanks to both editors above for their input. Both articles are new so I'm happy if either or both or nominated. Sorry, I didn't realise there was a 200-character limit. Djln Djln (talk) 14:58, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
  • Comment I have added a couple of sentences to the Lecturer/Coach section of the Parnells article, and have managed to get the character count up to 1587. So it is just long enough now. RebeccaGreen (talk) 09:13, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
  • Comment: I don't think the hooks need to include the actual team name of each Niamh McEvoy, and may even be more effective without them; here's ALT1a:
Note that there hasn't been a QPQ review done (and one is not needed, since there are only three previous DYK credits, one from 2018 and two from 2007, though with the fourth and fifth credits coming from this nomination's two articles, the next DYK nomination will require one); while Djln has worked on the 2010 All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship Final article, it has not been nominated for DYK (and therefore never reviewed), and is too short and too old to qualify. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:57, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
  • Full review needed of both articles now that the hook is set and both articles are long enough. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:57, 4 October 2019 (UTC)
  • Articles were created on 26 and 27 September; both are long enough and well referenced. The hook is interesting and is cited in both articles. I've struck ALT0 as it's too long, and of ALT1 and ALT1a I prefer the latter (without the parentheticals). Earwig's tool doesn't detect any copyvio in either article. Note that a QPQ is not required as per BlueMoonset's comment above. 97198 (talk) 07:58, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
