  • Hi Phil, I'll review this. – Lionel(talk) 09:37, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: No - no reference for hook
  • Interesting: Yes

QPQ: No - this editor did not review Holochilus brasiliensis
Overall: @Philafrenzy: Interesting read, and interesting hook too, but it needs to be cited. I think the pic of the Greenfinch is not relevant and fails MOS:PERTINENCE. – Lionel(talk) 09:53, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the review. The hook is cited at ref 1. There is no requirement for me to have done the review. It was a gift for helping out that user elsewhere and is within DYK rules. It hasn't been used elsewhere. Thanks. Philafrenzy (talk) 10:32, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
  • You're welcome. I added the reference so the hook is ok. But, this [2] says you have 266 DYKs so a QPQ is required. Um, what rule? – Lionel(talk) 11:05, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
QPQ can be done by anyone as long as each review is used only once. It's more about ensuring everything gets reviewed by someone than by whom the review is carried out. Philafrenzy (talk) 12:31, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Confirming here that a QPQ is required, but it can be supplied by someone other than the nominator. It's an infrequent occurrence, but it can happen. So long as it covers all the regular DYK review bases and hasn't been used previously, it can serve as the QPQ. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:12, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
