  • Article is new (7 January) and is over the character minimum limit.
  • Article has adequate inline citations and is neutral in tone. There is no obvious plagiarism in the text.
  • Article is of general interest to our readership.
  • Image has suitable alt text, appears in article, and is viewable at low resolution.
  • One potential issue is the photo of Gordon Merriman (File:Gordon_merriman.png). This has a large overprint from its immediate source, and that site indicates it is for sale. Although the photo itself is out of copyright in the USA, the image with the overprint will still be copyrighted. I would recommend that this image be removed until it can be replaced by an unambiguously public-domain version.
  • The first ALT hook is perhaps a little provocative, but not so much as to be unusable.

Hi Tevildo, thanks for the review. With regards the Merriman image the text watermark would not be copyrightable (being only basic geometric shapes) but I have managed to source a clean version from a copy of the original newspaper - Dumelow (talk) 09:54, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

Thanks! Looks good to go on all three hooks now. Tevildo (talk) 10:08, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
