Comment: Per this and this, cf this, it looks like a gallery of images will have to wait until 30 April 2015, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 17:14, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
His Vienna year paintings and his WWI era paintings should be in public domain becuase they were painted before 1923 and are in public domain in the United States. Spongie555 (talk) 23:38, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
PD-1923 only applies if the paintings were published (with US source and page number) before 1923, not created before 1923. PD-70 (life of author + 70 years) would apply and according to the earlier post, the paintings would not be available until 2016. Froggerlaura (talk) 03:32, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Age, length OK. Well-referenced; no close paraphrasing seen. Hook is interesting and verified. However, I find the article to be written like a newspaper article, stringing one point to the next. The lead in particular needs to be rewritten to summarize the article. It should be stated that he did earn a living selling his paintings before discounting that he was unsuccessful as a painter. • I have rewrote the lead to summarize the article. Hope it is ok now. --SupernovaExplosion Talk 10:41, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Thank you. I did some more copyediting and added a section about auction sales. Good to go. Yoninah (talk) 14:19, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
