Peter de Maulay

[edit]
  • ... that the 12th century English nobleman Peter de Maulay paid the king a fine of 7,000 marks to marry his wife, one of the highest paid during King John's reign?

  • Might I suggest an alternative hook? Prioryman (talk) 20:38, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
  • I'm okay with that one, but the precise historian in me cringes, as it's only sorta kinda correct. Ealdgyth - Talk 21:48, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
  • This article is new enough and long enough. The hooks are reliably cited and either could be used. The article is neutral but I was unable to assess whether there were any copyright/close paraphrasing issues because the sources are not available to me. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:02, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
