Poecilia picta
- ... that swamp guppies (pictured) are not into orange or red? Source: "Using tests of female preference we show female P. picta are not more attracted to red males, despite preferences for red/orange in closely related species, such as P. reticulata and P. parae."[1]
- ALT1: ... that while fancy guppies fancy orange, swamp guppies (pictured) do not? Source: "While orange plays a dramatic role in female mate choice in P. reticulata, conspicuous orange coloration on the caudal fin does not appear to play a role in female preference in P. picta." [2]

- Comment: The hooks might work better without the image - or not. You decide :)

- Hey, it's picta! New enough, long enough, well sourced, neutral, copyvio-free per Earwig's tool. Article is presentable. Hook is supported by an RS. Image is appropriately licensed, is clear at this size, and is used in the article. QPQ is done. Both hooks are interesting, I like the word play on the alt.
