Prionomyrmecini

[edit]
  • ... that members of the ant tribe of Prionomyrmecini can be distinguished from other members by the reduced or lacking ocelli, and a lateral clypeal carina is present?

Improved to Good Article status by Burklemore1 (talk). Nominated by Oceanh (talk) at 21:43, 12 December 2015 (UTC).

  • This is a newly-promoted good article and is long enough and nominated in time. The article is well-referenced and neutral, and I detected no copyright issues. The hook is uninteresting because it uses so many technical terms with which most readers will be unfamiliar. If I am correct in thinking that Prionomyrmex is extinct and Nothomyrmecia macrops is critically endangered, that might be the basis for a hook. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:58, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
I agree with Cwmhiraeth's comments and I would recommend to change the hook to her suggestion. Burklemore1 (talk) 03:04, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
@Burklemore1: If I suggest a hook, we will have to wait for someone else to review it. So it would be better if you suggested an ALT1 hook, and then I will be able to review it and hopefully approve this nomination. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:04, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for the review. I may spell out alt hooks along with your suggestion, but need help with adding extra citations. Oceanh (talk) 23:19, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
  • Approving ALT2 as being more satisfactory than ALT1 and striking the original hook. I have added a reference for these hooks. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:06, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
