Puccinia allii

  • ... that "leek rust", caused by Puccinia allii, is not combatable with any approved fungicide? Source: [1]
  • ALT1: ... that "leek rust", caused by Puccinia allii, has also caused significant losses for garlic farmers?

  • Comment 2: This is my first species article, so i've probably made quite a few glaring mistakes. my apologies in advance! I thought this was a pretty fun (and heart-wrenching) article to spend time on :)

  • This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral, and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. The article looks fine to me but could do with an image. I inspected the leeks in my garden, but found no orange pustules on the leaves, although I have had the disease in the past. Plenty of brassica leafspot Alternaria brassicae however. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:43, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: thanks for the speedy review! my leeky relatives do tend to come down with something an awful lot—tell cousin j. j. hello for me :) as for an image, I couldn't find a freely licensed one by google searching—is there a place you usually look? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/them) 20:52, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
Not really. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:58, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
    gotcha, I'll see if I can't find something—thanks so much! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/them) 21:03, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: some new information added to the article by Esculenta contradicts the hook, so we'll need to iron out a new one. I proposed an ALT1, does it work for you? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she?) 18:53, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
The ALT1 hook should be fine, but before I give it a tick, you need to deal with the clarification tag. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:35, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: as the mafia would say, it's been dealt with. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 02:35, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
  • Approving ALT1 and striking ALT0. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:45, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
