Quay (restaurant)[edit]

The eight texture chocolate cake at Quay, Sydney

  • AGV the 5x expansion. There's a problem with the hook. The inline citation goes to reference #1, but there are no descriptions of specific dishes in reference #1, including the chocolate cake. There's a description of the chocolate cake in reference #2, but that reference dates from 2004, when the cake had only five textures, and there's no inline citation for the statement that the chef has developed the recipe to include eight textures. An alternative might be to use a hook which mentions only the Guava Snow Egg as a signature dish. That would mean deleting the image which goes with the hook. The other alternative would be to find an inline citation for the chef's redevelopment of the five-textured cake into the Eight-Textured Chocolate Cake. I did some minor copyediting, including renaming the dessert "Guava Snow Egg" in the article, rather than merely "Snow Egg", as that's how it's named in the cited references which refer to it. Hope that's OK.

  • Ref #1 is split over two pages, but has the option to be read on a single page. If you go to the second page it says "Gilmore's other signature dish, chocolate cake, has grown from five to eight textures." I initially thought the same thing as you about the "Snow egg" being Guava only, however whilst moving images from Flickr to Commons I found pictures of a white peach one which makes me think that he probably changes the flavour of the ice cream. Good to go! Thanks for addressing the concerns. The second page of reference #1 isn't immediately obvious, but it is there, and it does mention the redevelopment of the chocolate cake. Sounds like a wonderful restaurant! NinaGreen (talk) 21:21, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
