Radius clause[edit]

Created by ViperSnake151 (talk). Self nominated at 02:53, 25 June 2014 (UTC).

  • New (24th), long enough, neutral, no copyvio found via spot check, QPQ done (though it could use some attention because the nom is still going). Hook doesn't have an immediate ref in article (see 3b). There's also a fair amount of close paraphrasing[1] (instances that aren't the obvious phrases) so those sentences should be completely recast. Please ping me if I don't respond. czar  14:16, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
No response—pinging nom @ViperSnake151 czar  16:11, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
How is that close paraphrasing? Those are common pairings of words used in the context of this article, and in most of those cases, they are in completely different sentences. ViperSnake151  Talk  16:35, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
You're right. It's possible that I confused this with another DYK nom (since I did say there was no copyvio). The 3b issue still stands, though czar  16:45, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
Uhh, no. The Lollapalooza one is cited, what's the problem? ViperSnake151  Talk  16:58, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
3b says that hook facts need immediate citations in the article, so following "Lollapalooza festival's use of radius clauses" and "prior to and/or after the performance". czar  17:06, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
It was already cited afterward, what's the problem? ViperSnake151  Talk  22:26, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
What? 3b is very clear and you've been through DYK's rigmarole before, so if you want me to pass the nom, you add the citations. Not difficult. You changed one instance but are missing the other (mentioned above). czar  05:27, 22 July 2014 (UTC)
