Reduta Jazz Club[edit]

  • Reviewed: Lonnie Warwick
  • Comment: one of the supporting references is in Czech, the pertinent section is transcribed here: "Jakýmsi symbolickým vrcholem Clintonova pobytu se však stala návštěva džezového klubu Reduta – zde totiž americký prezident hned vyzkoušel dar od Václava Havla – saxofon. Ukázal se přitom jako poměrně zdatný hudebník." - Google Translate to English

  • Už ne. Article and hook long enough; hook is interesting and adequately sourced. Image is GFDL compliant and on commons. However, it seems to have "borrowed" from the club's website: "In the 1960s Reduta supported the arrival of new authors and protagonists, which evolved the tradition of text-appeal cabaret. Their work was complicated due to the occupation by Soviet troops in 1968, with obstacles brought by the official supervisors of culture." (article) vs. "In the sixties Reduta supports the arrival of new authors and protagonists, which evolve the tradition of text-appeal cabaret. Their successful working is getting more and more complicated due to the occupation by Soviet troops in 1968, thanks to the ill will of the official guardians of culture." -- Ohc ¡digame! 12:54, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
  • I've removed that section. C679 12:57, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
  • I think it needs a thorough rewrite. The first version supplied by WP:COI account, and there are still signs of text copied from the club's website, e.g. "At that time Czechoslovakia was repressed". Please check the wording similarities revealed here. -- Ohc ¡digame! 13:05, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
  • I have made changes, please let me know. C679 13:55, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
  • I'd suggest losing the unsourced performers; this comes from their own website and is thoroughly overlinked. The sourced names are already enough to show notability. Can you find more content to fill its character count? -- Ohc ¡digame! 15:39, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Agreed, unsourced names removed and other content added. C679 16:01, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Už je to lepši. Dekuju moc. Passed. -- Ohc ¡digame! 16:15, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
