Article

  • New – Article is new enough, it was created on 1 November (+10UTC), and nominated later that day.
  • Long enough – The article was 2255 characters at time of nomination.
  • Within policy – The article is neutral in tone.
    It is well supported by citations, however, five of 12 are not publicly viewable. Given that I have followed Wikipedia:Did you know/Reviewing guide#Review the article(s) and varified what I can with the remaining sources. I must admit they aren't overly substantive, but they do varify other facts, and corrispond correctly with the claims they are supporting, I will therefore WP:AGF, with one query:
  • In 'Life and work' para 2, citation #3 just states he trained in London under Holden, does cite #1 name University of London?
    • Thanks for asking. Cite #1 (Who Was Who) gives University of London under the education heading. Cite #5 also mentions that he studied at London University "for a short period under Professor A. E. Richardson A. R. A".--DavidCane (talk) 20:05, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
From what I can tell, it is free from any form of close paraphrasing or plagiarism, but this again relies on good faith, given I can only cross-check about half the citations. Still, I can hardly fail it on that.

Hook

  • Format – The hook is short enough.
  • Content – The hook is supported by a citation, however, the citation is not publicly viewable. I'm willing to approve it, as it is sourced, but defer to the closer as to if this is the right decision or not.
    • Both the Who Was Who and The Times Digital Archive websites are freely accessible to most UK library cardholders; so if anyone has one, they might be able to check. The Eitan Karol book used for citation #6 is one I used when I wrote the featured article on Charles Holden and the featured list on his works. There is another source (here) for this (which I haven't used in Reginald Uren because it is more particularly about Charles Holden), but I have used it elsewhere. --DavidCane (talk) 20:05, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
