  • New enough (article created 22 January, nominated 27 January), long enough, within policy, no copyvios found. Not sure about the hook making statements about future events that haven't happened yet. Also can't say that the hook would be of great interest to the average reader, because there's not enough information about either band in the hook to spark interest. I'd suggest another rewrite, or perhaps a new hook altogether. CR4ZE (t • c) 03:42, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

  • I don't see any problem with the first hook. The tour is confirmed by reliable sources. Not sure what you're talking about. Your DYK nomination [cf. 01:20, 15 June 2014 (UTC)] for the upcoming video game Halo 5: Guardians was on 19 May 2014; we are on 28 January 2015 and the game still upcoming. You simply have no right to say things like "Not sure about the hook making statements about future events that haven't happened yet."--malconfort (talk) 16:46, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
  • Not sure what my Halo 5 DYK nomination has to do with this. Digging through my editing history and arguing what my "rights" are is pretty immature conduct. In any regard, the hook stated that a new game engine has been developed for an upcoming video game. That is a very different scenario than a scheduled upcoming tour. Either of the bands may pull out or the tour may be cancelled for whatever reason. As for the alternate hook, nowhere in the article's body is it stated with a source that both Retox founding members played in Holy Molar. The Decibel magazine interview states that the band members performed in a number of bands before Retox, but not that two members have played in all four bands together.   • My comments were adequate, not immature. I found that info about your DYK by chance, just navigating through your profile. I'm not here to attack anyone, but that game was and still upcoming, and it passed the DYK process with no problems. This nomination can pass too. The hook is backed up by reliable sources.--malconfort (talk) 04:24, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

  • We're here to assess each DYK on its own merits, so again, bringing an unrelated DYK into the discussion was uncalled for, especially in the manner you did. I found it condescending. Anyway, both ALT3/4 check out fine. The ambiguity and simplicity of the hooks should spur readers' attention. Spot-checking the source against the hook is a little tricky, but in the interview Retox's Justin Pearson says "... we wished Head Wound City were more than an EP and one live show. We wished we could have done it full time." I think the hook interprets Pearson's statement appropriately, even if he doesn't specifically mention "disappointment".
