I came to promote this but I don't think all the elements of the hook are met in the article. Where does it mention him playing alongside his brother at high school? They were both recruited by the Kansas Jayhawks, but did they actually play alongside each other there? (My complete ignorance of American football may be blinding me here.) I see from the source provided with this nomination that he and his brother were twins, I think you might add that to the article/hook as it adds greater interest. @Cwmhiraeth: I saw the phrase "but they transitioned to American football upon moving to Texas" as supporting the high school playing time, but it could be more clear. I've now added "whom he played with in high school" to the end of the first paragraph of Early Career. This was already supported by the cite used there. They definitely did play on the team at the same time, see the source linked above. It notes they were both actively playing on the team together during at least one season. It also notes Ronnie was the sole backup corner for at least one period of time at KU, meaning that he would sub in for one while the other kept playing. That means he and Donnie would have been on the field at the same time when Ronnie subbed in for the other starting corner. It also literally applies here, but "played alongside" is usually taken to mean "was on the same team" anyway. As for the twins bit, I don't see an organic way to throw it in the article without just making it useless trivia, and I'm not willing to reduce the quality of an article for the benefit of a DYK hook. ~ Rob13Talk 15:03, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
  • That solves the problem. Restoring tick as per Mifter. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:06, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
