Rostraureum tropicale[edit]

Created by TerranZephyr (talk). Nominated by Tentinator (talk) at 09:06, 23 December 2013 (UTC).

  • Wow, great new article from a new user; I edit species articles myself (though mainly plants) so it's nice to see someone else starting up as we sure have a lot of work to do! I've made a couple of changes, as you can see in the article's history, just minor things like linking complex terms, italicizing the title and other fixes. The article is long enough, new enough, there does not seem to be any close paraphrasing or copyright violations detected. The hook is interested and supported by the abstract of the source (however the full paper is behind a paywall, which is unfortunate). I just have two concerns before promoting the article - 1) please provide a citation for the Distribution section, and 2) I'm a bit confused about whether the article is about the species or the genus, as it seems to chop and change a little. This isn't an issue I've come across before, so I've left a message at the WikiProject Fungi talkage. If those are done, then this should be good to go! :) Acather96 (click here to contact me) 16:42, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
  • I've fixed both of the issues you've raised here. The creator of the article copied the lead from Rostraureum to Rostraureum tropicale.   Tentinator   17:05, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
  • Thank you for the nomination and edits, Acather96, and also thank you to Tentinator for editing. Indeed I am a new contributor to Wikipedia and thought I would try out a small page first to learn the ropes. The process is very complex, so I apologise for the errors. This article is about the species Rostraureum tropicale, not about the genus Rostraureum, but I guess the difficulty came in because both the species and genus were erected in the same publication and that causes some confusion. I am a researcher on the Cryphonectriaceae and will be contributing more pages on much more interesting species in this family, and possibly also in the order Diaporthales, which is of special interest to me. Everything's been fixed now, so this is good to go! Keep an eye out for it on the main page sometime! :) Acather96 (click here to contact me) 22:13, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
