SK Ull, Karl Roll, Fritz R. Huitfeldt[edit]

Ullr with his skis and his bow

Created by Geschichte (talk). Nominated by Oceanh (talk) at 23:05, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

  • The articles for the two club members are new enough and long enough and well cited. There is no evidence of plagiarism/copyvio problems in the online references in either article. The hook is I suppose interesting enough (I wanted to know why a ski-club was called 'wool' although that's not the translation I now realise). It's correctly cited in the articles and the sources for the hook fact are fine.
  • Regarding the SK Ull article, length date and sourcing are fine and AGF for plagiarism/copyvio for offline sources, just one question. In the lead it says "it attracted several professed sportsmen", although I doubt that it was intended to suggest that they weren't 'real' sportsmen as the word 'professed' implies. It says elsewhere that the many of the members were professionals, so perhaps that was the intent. I know that they weren't 'professional sportsmen', can you think of an alternative? • Thank you for the review. I did not write the article SK Ull, only dyk nominator. Anyway, I removed the word "professed" from lead, as it appears ambigious. In Norse mythology Ull was a god for hunting and competition, superior with his skis and his bow. Added a note on this to the article, and included a drawing of Ullr with skis. • Thanks, it's OK now and I like the picture, status of that is fine as well. Mikenorton (talk) 09:16, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
  • If the picture is used, IMO the hook should mention why it's relevant:
  • Definitely an improvement Orlady, I suppose that I should give that a tick as well , to avoid confusion.Mikenorton (talk) 19:42, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
