Sam Ficken

[edit]

Created by Buggie111 (talk). Self nom at 14:45, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

  • The key hook fact—that Ficken was mentored by Gould—is not supported by an inline source citation at the end of the article sentence which contains the fact, an absolute DYK requirement. I'd also like to suggest that the wording of the hook be simplified: "was mentored by" rather than "received a mentorship from"; the latter reads a bit oddly. What about

  • ALT1: ... that Sam Ficken once missed four field goals and an extra point in a game that Penn State lost by one point?[1]

Or

  • Inline cite added, forgot about where I had placed it. Fine with any hook. Buggie111 (talk) 04:55, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Review needed for new ALT hooks (now numbered) and to confirm sourcing for original hook. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:33, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
  • ALT1 is most interesting. ref that was pointed out above is now added to article. ALT2 is pretty obscure and less interesting I feel. Original hook is now sourced but I still think ALT1 most interesting. Casliber (talk · contribs) 14:26, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
