Sankari Prasad Basu[edit]

Created/expanded by Titodutta (talk). Self nominated at 16:36, 9 July 2013 (UTC).

I cannot verify the Sarat Puraskar and Vidyasagar Puraskar. And also the two Vivekananda Award needs to clarify the conferring organization. The Sahitya Akademi Award needs to mention he won it for Bengali language. I have changed the hook to reflect it in the hook but it needs mention in the article. Otherwise the article looks promising. The Legend of Zorro 17:12, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
  • See this (ref 2). The main award is Sahitya Akademi, I have added a note in award section. Recently after encountering in two different articles, I have started feeling a "Vivekananda Award" exists, I have not studied on it. Most probably another DYK study soon. --TitoDutta 17:19, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
As per this the different languages have clear demarcation. But as per the book reference it seems that the convention for bio entries is only Sahitya Akademi Award xxxx so that is OK. The award ref is carried. I am not sure the prose is over 1500 characters though. Will check and reply. The Legend of Zorro 17:34, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
  • Prose size (text only): 1741 B (268 words) "readable prose size" TitoDutta 17:43, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

This gives character count as 1567 including only lead, Biography and Literary career. Good to go. The Legend of Zorro 17:51, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

  • Article needs a thorough copyedit before it can be returned to a prep area; there are several significant errors in the first paragraph alone, both grammar and style. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:22, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
  • I have completed the copyedit; the errors I saw have been fixed plus some new information has been added, and the article is now over 2000 prose characters, so it's still long enough with extra to spare. A new source has been included to support some of the new info, and a sentence that was not supported by its source was deleted (along with the source). BlueMoonset (talk) 00:19, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
