Segar Bastard[edit]

  • ... that the 1878 FA Cup Final did have a Bastard in the black?

5x expanded by The C of E (talk). Self nominated at 10:26, 27 February 2014 (UTC).

  • This article is a little short of the fivefold expansion required for DYK (961 B having been expanded to 4275 B). The very last sentence in the article reads "... he left £11,000 (approximately £413,200) to his wife." Does the figure in brackets refer to the modern day equivalent? In any event, the second figure is not supported by the references given. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:52, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
I used the template that came up with the modern figure. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 10:52, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
How many characters does it need to be 5x expanded and I'll try and do it tomorrow. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 10:55, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Did you mean to write "a a Bastard"? Just looking at it, one would appear to suffice, unlinked. C679 21:04, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
  • 530 extra characters required according to the numbers from Cwmhiraeth above. C679 21:06, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
Done the expansion. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 09:18, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
  • This article is now long enough for a fivefold expansion. It is new enough, QPQ has been done and the hook fact, referenced to an off-line source, is accepted in good faith. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:22, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
