A group of human rights lawyers and activists who were researching a case against the Tanzanian government has been illegally detained after police accused them of “promoting homosexuality” They were among 13 people arrested on 17 October for taking part in a meeting to discuss challenging a law stopping private health clinics from providing HIV and Aids services.

• It's well-cited and seems neutral enough, QPQ confirmed. I made some minor changes myself, please take a look. I don't think the Infobox is very useful as is, but oh well.
• That said. I think the first hook is the most "interesting" (ALT1 is zzzzz), buuuut I think it's a bit misleading (in both the original prose, and the hook). The law wasn't just banning AIDS treatment; it was specifically aimed at the US's PEPFAR program and outreach to gays. So it's not entirely accurate to claim that the meeting had nothing to do with homosexuality as the article originally sorta did, nor is the hook representing the real reason for the arrest. Can you try a different hook? Maybe something like "arrested in Tanzania for advocacy against an anti-gay law limiting treatment for AIDS/HIV"? Up to you, though. • Well, Dumelow hasn't edited since the 19th, and this is pretty close, so sure, ALT2 approved. One tiny nitpick: can we change the order to HIV/AIDS, as per the article, rather than AIDS/HIV? (User:7&6=thirteen) SnowFire (talk) 05:47, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
