Silver River (Florida)[edit]

One of the Silver River's monkeys relaxes on the riverside.

  • Another monkey? Though the Gainesville reference is teeming with monkeys and so are the river banks (according to the article), I couldn't find exactly that 'the monkeys can be seen along the river'. Can you please provide the quote from the Gainesville article this hook is explicitly referring to? Also can the hook be modified in lines of ...that they were introduced as tourist attraction but have now become feral. Samar Talk 19:31, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
  • I've added another reference that mentions the monkeys as viewable from the river. As for the suggested hook, I'd hesitate to do that - they weren't neccessarily introduced as a tourist attraction. Some accounts say they were, but others say that they escaped when Tarzan movies were being filmed. - The Bushranger One ping only 20:49, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
  • This is not an issue, only do you have access to the complete article in the archives (for new ref)? Everything checks out; article, hook, and image. Samar Talk 07:20, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
  • Paywalls stimie me, but the abstract had enough of a quote that I could confirm the information. - The Bushranger One ping only 23:04, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
