Society of Authors, Composers and Music Publishers in Israel[edit]

  • ... that the Society of Authors, Composers and Music Publishers in Israel, a copyright collective with more than 10,000 members, held its first press conference 72 years after its founding? [These figures and others were given yesterday (Tuesday) at a press conference held for the first time under the auspices of ACUM, which is responsible for protecting the rights of artists in the fields of music and literature] (Globes)

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
  • Cited: Yes - Offline/paywalled citation accepted in good faith
  • Interesting: Yes
QPQ: Done.

Overall: The hooks are borderline in terms of interest, but otherwise acceptable. Catrìona (talk) 03:34, 21 September 2018 (UTC)

  • @Catriona: thanks for the review. I agree that the hooks are "borderline interest", so the hook shouldn't be passed in this condition. I'll try to think of better hooks this weekend. Yoninah (talk) 08:57, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
  • Here's another idea:
  • ALT2: ... that the Israeli copyright collective ACUM collects royalties on music played on radio and internet as well as in government offices, tourist buses, and airplanes? Yoninah (talk) 09:04, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
  • ALT3: ... that the Israeli copyright collective ACUM collects royalties on music wherever it is played, including government offices, tour buses, and airplanes? Yoninah (talk) 15:01, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: Personally, I am not sure that ALT3 is much of an improvement. Copyright agencies usually collect royalties on all plays/uses, or at least try to. Also, Catriona (no accent) is a different user. Catrìona (talk) 08:29, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
