Star Trekkin'[edit]
... that the Star Trek parody song "Star Trekkin'" originated from a campfire song of a English Civil War combat reenactment society?
- ALT1:... that the phrase "It's life, Jim, but not as we know it" did not originate in Star Trek, but instead the parody song "Star Trekkin'"?

- Comment: The DYK checker is being thrown off, presumably by a slightly larger older version of the article. But the required expansion size was to 8465 (from 1693) and it is currently at 8851. Regarding the Jon Kutner source, he's a published author of a book about number ones in the British charts. To be saved for the Star Trek 50th anniversary on September 8th.

Oh, I remember this so well, was it really nearly 30 years ago? Article has been expanded from the number of bytes as listed above, and the copyvio checker gives a clean bill of health. I like ALT1, as it will mean more to people browsing the main page, and it is cited to the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations here. This would be good for prep.
