  • ... that President George H. W. Bush's service dog Sully (pictured) slept next to Bush's coffin before his state funeral? Source: ABC

Created by Chetsford (talk) and The C of E (talk). Nominated by The C of E (talk) at 09:05, 6 December 2018 (UTC).

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
Image: Image is freely licensed, used in the article, and clear at 100px.
QPQ: Done.

Overall: New, and interesting article. There is, however, one problem with the hook: The source states that Sully laid next to the coffin, not slept. Unless you add another source for sleeping, the hook and wording in the article should be changed accordingly. Otherwise, this is good to go. Applodion (talk) 09:52, 6 December 2018 (UTC)

  • @Applodion: I have added a source for sleeping by the BBC. I'd love it if we could get the actual photo on Wikipedia but I'm unsure of the copyright on it (is the Bush 41 office a government source that would make it copyright free?) • @The C of E: Thanks for the quick response. Now I can pass the DYK. In regard to the image, I don't know for sure, but I would assume that Bush's office is his private office - in that case, the image of Sully sleeping is copyright-protected. Applodion (talk) 10:47, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
