  • Interesting! The article is long enough and new enough. Only thing is, I can't verify the source. The book is listed in Google books, but I can't preview the cited page. So while this looks good to me, I'd like a second opinion. (I'm also new at reviewing and rather wimpy about approving things, sorry.) --Rosekelleher (talk) 15:00, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

  • Comment: The Look inside feature in Amazon.com often gives access to relevant pages in printed source materials. If any doubts cannot be satisfied by that method, then I can prove the veracity of any given point by quoting the source material. Obviously, that can't be done for the article in its entirety.Georgejdorner (talk) 18:53, 14 February 2015 (UTC)
  • @Georgejdorner:, Sorry for making you jump through hoops like this - not sure what the usual protocol is. I tried searching "Look Inside" on Amazon but couldn't get to page 179, couldn't find "Team Sone Pet" or "second team" either. Same with Google Books. I'm sure it's just me doing something wrong.   • You might have had better luck using the search term "Diamond Arrow". At any rate, here goes (Conboy, Morrison, p. 179):
  • "In the late fall of 1967, Luang Prabang launched a single reconnaissance mission along the Chinese border when Team Sone Pet (Diamond Arrow), composed of seven Khamouane Boupha ralliers and a FAR team leader, parachuted from an RLAF C-47 along the northernmost Lao border near the village of Malitaio. On the ground for more than two months, the team was exfiltrated by an RLAF H-34 after contact with communist patrols. The mission, though done with CIA cooperation, was a joint venture between Ouane Rathikoun and his military contacts in the ROC.
  • "The following spring, Ouane and the ROC collaborated on a second reconnaissance mission near Malitiao. This time the team was made up entirely of Nationalist Chinese flown in from Taiwan.   • - Using the quote I was able to search the text on Amazon for "captured or killed" and verify the hook, thanks. So: (1) long enough, (2) new enough (when submitted), (3) cited, (4) neutral, (5) free of copyvio, based on a reasonable amount of checking, and (6) etc. --Rosekelleher (talk) 20:05, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
