Telengard[edit]

Improved to Good Article status by Czar (talk). Self nominated at 17:06, 5 October 2014 (UTC).

  • Source #1 is used as a citation for "The game has basic audio for incidentals like spell effects in some versions (C64)", but it actually states "Telengard has no sound whatsoever". (I think this source, or maybe ref #4, was intended for the preceding statement.) You also use ref #1 for "Enemies include...", but it does not say anything about this either. (You likely pasted the wrong citation each time; should it be the Tony Roberts review?) Computer Gaming World issue 3.3 (May-Jun 1983) does not state "most are not outlined in the instruction manual"; it states that the higher-level spells are not described. I am assuming good faith for the Shannon Appelcline source. Barton states that the Silver Age includes Ultima I, II, and III, so perhaps link to Ultima (series)#The Age of Darkness: Ultima I-III instead of Ultima I in "reception and legacy". Other than that, the article is well written and sourced. One minor nitpick: consider merging the same refs into one, and use something like {{sfn}} for citations that include page numbers (for example, for refs #4 and #5). This is only a suggestion, not a requirement. The hook is reasonable and sourced, though a shorter one would more readily catch a reader's attention. QPQ completed. Article was updated to GA on September 29 and nominated for DYK on October 5, satisfying nomination criteria. Once the accidental referencing SNAFUs are fixed, this will be ready for promotion. Hm. Sorry about that. You'll see that those errors were inserted in the few weeks since my rewrite. I'll have more time to do some page history restoration this weekend czar  00:32, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
@Mindmatrix, done. Take a look? Appreciate the super-thorough review. (I'm going to leave the CGW refs separate—prefer it that way as long as it's just that one source.) czar  11:41, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
  • Good to go - all issues addressed. Mindmatrix 12:55, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
