  • "Oxford won the race by three lengths, breaking a seven year spell of Cambridge dominance, though the result was a "shock triumph", and lost in 2001. " too many run-on clauses and no need to mention 2001 in the lead.

  • As for the hook, the 2013 race featured a 6 ft 10 inch rower (Paul Bennett).
  • The competitor here was joint tallest, but I will probably propose an alt anyway due to half the hook being invalid
  • Also, the youngest winning participant was in 1873, not 2000, so not sure about the hook at all right now.

  • New reviewer needed for ALT2. However, the quoted "shock triumph" in the intro needs to have an inline source citations; all quotes, no matter where they are in the article or even if they're cited in the body, must be cited each time they are used. Quotes or controversial statements must be cited in the intro regardless of citations in the article's body. Matty.007, you might as well fix this now, so when a reviewer comes along they won't have to delay approval. BlueMoonset (talk) 22:10, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

  • Full review for ALT2 due to adaptations since nomination date. New enough (for 22 April) and long enough. QPQ OK. No problem with disambig links or with external links, even though the DYK tool flagged up three redirects - ext links all work OK. ALT2 hook checks out with online citation #2. I was fascinated to learn that the Boat Race was being rowed way back in the 19th century - didn't know that! Good to go. --Storye book (talk) 16:21, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
