  • {{subst:DYK?}} Ahhh... @TheAwesomeHwyh: First, remember to italicize the names of games, magazines, websites, &c. (MOS:IT). That's small and I already fixed it for you. Second, I understand how difficult this can be but, however straightforward it is for you to just tell the story in the article's #Plot section, you can't just do that.

    Huh... fun. Apparently WP:DYK and WP:DYKSG have been emended to say #Plot sections are absolutely a citation-free zone and that's just fine. Weird. Anyway, moving on...

    New enough; long enough (~2k elig. chars.) assuming we're counting unsourced #Plot sections now but not trying to tighten up their phrasing (MOS:PLOT); titles use italics (MOS:IT), but that's easy to fix; no QPQ needed (Hi, New Person! Thanks for your work!); Earwig finds minimal copyvio; ALT1 is objectively a better advertising hook but too WP:EASTERy for a commercial product here; ALT0 G2G. — LlywelynII 05:30, 6 August 2019 (UTC)

  • I think the reason plot summarys aren't supposed to have citations is because you would just end up citing the work itself and that would be weird? Not sure. Also, heh... I think the game is kinda cute looking... TheAwesomeHwyh 16:40, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Nah, you'd have to find someone else's published summary and I suppose the reviewers wanted to give more leeway for editors to give the whole plot instead of just the teaser you usually find in game reviews. — LlywelynII 07:30, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

Prep 2: Frogs[edit]

  • I kept skipping over the article while looking for hooks to promote because I wasn't sure either. I thought maybe I was missing something, but it doesn't seem interesting because it's basically restating the title. SL93 (talk) 17:57, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

  • Looking at this critically, ALT1 and ALT2 are in-universe (see WP:DYKSG#C6). ALT3 is back to square one: too much repetition.
  • Personally, I would never have promoted this. Nearly 50 percent of the page is unsourced plot. There are no production notes. If there were, you could make a proper hook. Yoninah (talk) 18:49, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Plot sections in and of themselves do not need sourcing. But all hooks must have a source. So, if you have a hook that is about something in the plot, you need to find a source to back that up for DYK. — Maile (talk) 19:07, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

Well, I just added some new information to the article about this, so how about ALT4: ... that when the developers of the first-person shooter video game Superhot sponsored a game about being a detective frog, they called it the "crossover no one asked for"? Thank you for adding that. I formatted your ALT4. Rather than "about being a detective frog", do you mean "in which players act as detective frogs"? ALT4 needs a review. Yoninah (talk) 19:21, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
I think that would be fine, though to be pedantic, there is only one Frog Detective and adding a plural implies to me at least that there are multiple. Maybe it would be more clear if it said "In which players act as Frog Detective"? TheAwesomeHwyh 19:27, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

Well, that was silly. ALT0 was within policy, sourced, and much more interesting. No one cares what paid reviewers think about a game, especially when they're being intentionally twee/cutesy as in this blurbs. Amusing tags about Frog Detective, the frog detective, got everyone I mentioned it to interested in this game, until they saw the art on Google xD. — LlywelynII 09:00, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
