The nominator has been pinged here and also advised on their talk page about this matter, but they have not responded, and indeed, have not edited Wikipedia using their account for over 45 days as of this post. It does not appear that concerns herein will be addressed. North America1000 09:02, 30 January 2017 (UTC)

  • @GrinandGregBearit: This article is new enough and long enough. There are several paragraphs without any citations, so these needs to be fixed before this can proceed. Reading the article, I see that he had postings to various training and other roles, but I see no sentence that states that he had no combat position before 1944. What is the definition of a "combat position"? So I am not satisfied that the hook meets requirements. Either we need a suitably referenced statement in the article supporting the hook, or we need a different hook. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:37, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
  • It is over two weeks since the above was posted, there has been a ping on the nominator's talk page, but most problematic is that the nominator has not edited on Wikipedia since December 13, two weeks after the nomination. Under the circumstances, it seems unlikely that anyone will be addressing the issues raised, so I've marked this for closure. If anyone starts fixing the article before this closes, this nomination can proceed. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:32, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
