Togakure-ryū[edit]

  • Reviewed: Haydon Hall
  • Comment: I expanded this by five times since this version of the article (1551 characters) to what it is now (8572 characters). I included the intro lines of the two lists in that calculation, but not the lists themselves, since those aren't original writing. I hope I did those calculations right. I'm dealing with a user right now. Please put this on hold. SilverserenC 18:19, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
Okay, we've reached a compromise. And the article is ever longer now. I've added the person I was working with to the nomination, as they also improved the article. So, please review this nomination now. SilverserenC 23:21, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
  • Not long enough. According to my count, it needs another 500 chars. Crisco 1492 (talk) 14:35, 4 November 2011 (UTC)
  • Somehow, the third paragraph of the lede and most of the third paragraph in the history (even including the period in the sentence before) were removed from the expanded version I originally linked to. I have re-added them back in. They originally amounted to 894 characters, so I think that's exactly where the discrepancy came from. SilverserenC 01:07, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
  • Okay, now for the review:
Hook: Not especially keen on "(topic) is ..." hooks. How about something like ALT1: ... that Togakure-ryū, an original style of Ninjutsu, has had only 34 grand masters in over 900 years? or ALT2 ... that training in Togakure-ryū, an original style of Ninjutsu, is similar to that for judo and akido?
Article: New enough as of nomination, long enough. Referencing is thorough, no images. Spotchecking this source showed no issues.
We need to hammer out a good hook. Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:17, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
I would say no to the first one, since the users I had a conflict with would extremely object to it, since it treats the history of Togakure as being real. My original hook falls foul of that mark as well. The second one (ALT2) sounds okay to me though. SilverserenC 02:30, 9 November
