  • Meets the criteria. The article is new, long enough. Citations provide informations concerning the works cited, such as the page number, ISBN and author/editors. All images are licensed respectively.Hook facts are based on reliable sources provided by the author. The facts are cited inline. The tone in which the article is written is neutral. No signs of copy right violation are detected. The author's review on another DYK hook is adequate and qualifies the standards of QPQ.----Sunzhai (talk) 03:17, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
  • @Sunzhai: you should provide a review that explicitly lists the criteria you checked. Details that are supposed to be checked in a review can be found at DYK Reviewing guide. Yoninah (talk) 17:24, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
  • User:損齋 Sorry, but what does "citations are good" mean? Did you check for neutrality and close paraphrasing? Inline cite for the hook fact? Image licensing? Complete QPQ review? Yoninah (talk) 22:21, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
  • User:損齋 Here is an easy checklist: five main DYK criteria. While citation style and RS's are important, the specific DYK criteria to check is that the hook facts all are cited inline. Additionally, is the article written neutrally? Did you check for close paraphrasing at Earwig's or another copyvio detector? Did the nominator do an adequate QPQ? Yoninah (talk) 22:36, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
  • User:YoninahI think what we have now is a more satisfactory QPQ. Do point out any mistakes though. Thank you!----Sunzhai (talk) 22:46, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
  • Sunzhai Perfect! Thanks for your patience. Restoring your tick. Yoninah (talk) 23:01, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote the first hook, but it is over 200 characters. Can we shorten it like this?
  • ALT0a: ... that the Trout Creek Hill volcanic eruption approximately 340,000 years ago during the Pleistocene, produced a lava flow that extended 20 km (12 mi), temporarily damming the Columbia River? Yoninah (talk) 20:54, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
  • Great. I notice in the article and source that the figure is 20 km, so I adjusted the hook. Restoring tick per Sunzhai's review. Yoninah (talk) 21:12, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
