Tugboat Trabajador (1931)

[edit]
  • ... that Trabajador was probably sunk by Japanese artillery fire off Corregidor and was awarded one battle star for her World War II service?

  • "Probably" seems troubling for a main page hook: WP:MOS Words to watch - Expressions of doubt. It either was, and sourced, or it wasn't. Also, the article referencing formatting needs work. Refs 1,2, and 3 don't go anywhere if you click on them. There's a problem with too close paraphrasing:
Article: "Trabajador was probably sunk by Japanese artillery fire off Corregidor and was awarded one battle star for her World War II service."
Source: "Trabajador was ultimately sunk off Corregidor, probably by Japanese artillery fire...Trabajador received one battle star for her World War II service"
The rest of the article should be checked against the sourcing for the paraphrasing issue.— Maile (talk) 23:40, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
ALT1 ... that Trabajador rescued fifty of the fifty-four members of the British freighter Silverhazel that was wrecked in San Bernardino Strait?
and I think I've sorted out the paraphrasing issue. The refs work fine for me.   Tentinator   13:28, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
After significant work on the article and references, I think it is good to go with the following alternate hook:
ALT2 ... that the tugboat Trabajador helped rescue fifty-two people from the British freighter Silver Hazel that was wrecked in San Bernardino Strait?
The ALT2 hook is referenced in the text and short enough (145 characters). The article is long enough and was created within seven days of its nomination. It also checks against close paraphrasing. It appears that the QPQ is not necessary since this is the "nomination of another editor's article". I'm using the AGF tick since some of the sources are not online. It should be good to go with the ALT2 hook. - tucoxn\talk 00:48, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
