General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: New enough (article began to be written on 26 December, but it was only moved to the mainspace today) and long enough. Well-written with neutral language and well-sourced. Seems to be free of plagiarism - although Earwig's Copyvio Detector stands at 25.9%, that is mostly due to long proper nouns, eg. American Presbyterian Congo Mission, interim General Secretary of the Congo Protestant Council etc. Both hooks cited and checked, I prefer the original hook but both are OK.

One minor spelling mistake should be corrected: In the "Return to the United States" section the book by Ethel Taylor Wharton is stated to be called Led in Triump - this should be Led in Triumph.

Apart from that, I think it's good to go. Well done! Xwejnusgozo (talk) 15:16, 18 January 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for the review Xwejnusgozo. Good spot on the typo, which I have fixed - Dumelow (talk) 19:08, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
