Vernon Johnson (American football)[edit]

Created by Fkbowen (talk). Self-nominated at 22:02, 2 February 2016 (UTC).

  • Article is new enough (created on January 27), long enough (over 2,400 characters), and within general Wikipedia policy (it is certainly neutral, fairly well cited, and free of any copyright issues, save for a single-sentence direct quote that I believe is used sensibly and certainly adds to this article). All three choices for the hook are short enough, interesting (enough, in my opinion), neutral, and accurately cited in the article. In my personal opinion, I think that either the main hook or ALT1 would make better hooks than ALT2, which is less of a distinctive accomplishment. QPQ doesn't apply in this case, and the image passes muster: it is freely licensed under the CC BY-2.0, used in the article, and shows up well at small size (note that it is no longer available under a free license on Flickr, but because it was at the time it was ported to Wikimedia Commons and the fact that Creative Commons licenses are irrevocable, this is not an issue). I believe that this nomination is good to go. Good job! Michael Barera (talk) 02:36, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
