long enough article on good sources, but I confess that I miss a bit of the tension that the title creates in both article and hook. For a film, shouldn't we mention in the hook the director rather than the author of the work it's based on, and that work's title in a language not everybody will understand, and hinting at Italy, not Japan? In the plot: where does sex-exploitation, mentioned in the lead, come into play? All information in the lead should appear in the body, with the reference there. If possible: a hook ALT1 mentioning pearl-diving an/or Japan. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:06, 6 October 2015 (UTC)

Japanese female pearl divers were shown in several of the scenes. As you can see here, this film was for adults only. Here's another hook:-

"Adults only" doesn't lead necessarily to sex exploitation, which is still not obvious in the plot, or what did I miss. ALT1 is sourced, but now we miss Italy altogether, how about a combination:
