  • Nominated within a week of GA promotion, no copyvio detected, hook is interesting and supported by reliable inline citations. I feel the first hook is most interesting. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 10:32, 15 May 2016 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but I am having trouble toting up all the years he spent incarcerated. The lead mentions 12 years, then 9, but I don't see the 9 years clearly stated or added up. Also, the first hook is pretty long; I would end it after "camps". Alternately, you could build a hook around a shorter factoid. Yoninah (talk) 22:08, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
@Yoninah and Sainsf: Agreed, the wording was confusing. I have fixed the article lead to reflect the chronology of Bukosvky's incarcerations. The sentences he actually spent seem to add up to over 9 years (not counting at times lengthy pre-trial detentions). The specific incarceration following his exposing of psychiatric abuse lasted 5 years. I have adjusted the first hook and made it shorter; if it's still too long, the prisoner exchange probably can be removed.
ALT3: ... that for exposing political abuse of psychiatry in the Soviet Union, dissident Vladimir Bukovsky spent five years in labor camps, before being exchanged for Chilean communist Luis Corvalán in 1976? Nkrita (talk) 14:16, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
Looks good to me, let's wait for Yoninah and then write an ALT3 and wait for another reviewer. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 14:20, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
  • Great Yoninah, you have a talent for hooky hooks :) Sainsf (talk · contribs) 14:38, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
  • Removing that "five" somehow makes it hookier, perhaps that should be it. Sainsf (talk · contribs) 14:45, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
  • I pinged Nkrita on his talk page to get his opinion; if it's positive, then you can approve ALT5, @Sainsf:. Yoninah (talk) 14:56, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
  • I think with ALT5 we have reached peak hookiness. Thank you! – Nkrita (talk) 15:16, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
