Vue de toits (Effet de neige)[edit]

Vue de toits (Effet de neige) by Gustave Caillebotte

Created/expanded by Cmprince (talk). Self nom at 05:14, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

  • Note: The hook citation is offline, but Google Books has a snippet: [1]
  • fails 5x expansion. Everything else is OK.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 14:29, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
  • This is a new article, moved into the article space on July 1. Cmprince (talk) 15:37, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
  • It was in article space back in December. You may have copied it into namespace to be expanded, but the original stub remained there.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 16:49, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
  • And I missed this earlier, the article is unassessed. By reckoning, it's either a start or a stub, but I'll let someone else make that assessment.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 16:51, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks, Stumvogel, for taking another look at this nom, but I'm not sure we're seeing the same article history. I started this from scratch in December in my name space, put it away for a few months, and came back to it on the first of July. Then I moved it to User:Vue de toits (Effet de neige), then realizing I forgot to select the article space, moved it again to its current location. I don't see anything in the logs showing an earlier deleted version. Please let me know if you see otherwise. Thanks again! Cmprince (talk) 17:43, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
  • I'm looking at [[2]] which shows it in article space, not name space.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 18:05, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Ummm... sorry, I guess I don't understand how to answer your concern. The history linked above shows it having been moved from user space on the first, without being moved at any other time. I hope you don't mind if I solicit another opinion, I don't know that we'll be able to sort this out ourselves. But thank you for your attention to this and quick replies. Cmprince (talk) 19:03, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
  • I'm puzzled why it shows in article space last December, but whatever. A 3rd opinion is fine.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 22:08, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
  • It shows up in article space since the user-space draft was moved, not just copy-pasted over. The user-space edit history was transferred into article space, hence the confusion. The article should be fine for DYK. Parsecboy (talk) 17:48, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Can we get a third opinion here? Thanks. Cmprince (talk) 19:03, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Good to go on the article itself. The following has been checked in this review:
  • QPQ done by Cmprince on July 1, 2012
  • DYK Check verifies "Article moved from User:Vue de toits (Effet de neige) on July 1, 2012", and verfies its length as 1,687 readable prose.
  • Hook is short enough at 164 characters, and (AGF) referenced offline at end of sentence
  • AGF on sources in the French language
  • Every paragraph sourced

  • Image is clearly PD (first published before 1923 [PD-US] and artist died more than 100 years ago [PD pretty much everywhere]) — Crisco 1492 (talk) 01:23, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
